A simple peanut chutney made with tamarind and seasoned with mustard. This is quick to make and can be served with idli or dosa.

Ingredients

  • Pea Nuts – 1 cup

  • Red chillies – 4 Nos

  • Tamarind – a small gooseberry size

  • Salt – ¾ teaspoon

Directions

  • Fry the pea nuts (you can use with or without skin) in a kadai without oil.
  • When it is hot to touch, remove it.
  • Add chillies, tamarind and salt and grind to a paste.
  • Season it with mustard and curry leaves.
