Hi kamala,
Ur recipies r really great and one important thing is that the dishes you have displayed is comming exactly as shown in photo and also the quantity which you have mentioned is also very perfect … basically i cook and have experience and now am trying ur recipies and getting good credits from my family. one request plz tell us how to prepare “Veppalai Katti” i need to learn that through you only kamala.
Subha Mouli,
Thank you for your kind feedback and comments on my site.
Regarding “Veppelai Katti”, as you know, it is prepared with fresh lemon/Narthai Tree leaves, I never tried this recipe. because I do not get the fresh leaves in the City. But when I was young, my grand mother used to prepare this just plucking the leaves from our Backyard where lots of Lemon / Narthai trees were available.
I enjoyed this with Curd Rice.
I find the following recipe more or less similar to my grandma’s recipe. Hope it will be of useful to you.

Hi Kamala,
I’m Guyanese and will try your potato peas kurma tonight! Will the taste be any different if I substitute the peas with Chana?
Thank you,
Karen
HI karen,
Yes. The taste will be different. Chana is heavier than peas and need more spices.
Hai mam,
I have a general question to you.how can we preserve broken coconut wen there is no refrigerator?
If you apply little salt, it will stay good for few days. However, you cannot preserve it if you keep it outside.
