Learn how to make crispy and delicious cauliflower fry with this easy recipe. Seasoned with spices and flours, it’s perfect as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 1

  • Ginger galic paste – 1 teaspoon

  • Red Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder – a pinch

  • Besan flour – 2 tablespoons

  • Rice flour – 1 tablespoon

  • Corn flour – 1 tablespoon

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Separate the cauliflower into individual florets. Boil water in a pot and add a pinch of salt. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook; the florets should remain crisp. Drain the water and set aside.
  • Place the parboiled cauliflower florets in a large mixing bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, besan (chickpea flour), rice flour, and corn flour. Mix thoroughly until each floret is well-coated with the spice and flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a kadai over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the cauliflower florets in small batches until they turn golden brown. Ensure they don’t overlap in the kadai for even cooking.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, you can optionally add a dash of tomato sauce, soy sauce, and chili sauce to the cauliflower and flour mixture. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes before frying.
