Indulge in the sweet delight of wheat flour kesari! This quick and easy dish can be made in just 10-15 mins. Perfect to offer as Prasad.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour – 1 cup

  • Jaggery powdered – 3/4 cup

  • Ghee – 1/2 cup

  • Dry Ginger Powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Cardamom Powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Cashew nuts – few

  • Raisins – few

  • Water – 1 1/2 cup

Directions

  • Begin by heating a teaspoon of ghee in a pan and roast the cashew nuts and raisins. Once done, set them aside.
  • Next, take a kadai and add ¼ cup of ghee to it. Add the wheat flour and roast it until it turns a light brown color, emitting a delightful roasted aroma. Turn off the stove.
  • In a separate vessel, combine water and jaggery powder, and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it starts boiling, remove it from the heat and strain it to remove any impurities.
  • Pour the jaggery water into the roasted wheat flour and mix well, stirring continuously. Cook the mixture over low heat until it thickens to the desired consistency.
  • Add the remaining ghee and mix thoroughly.
  • Introduce the dry ginger powder and cardamom powder into the mixture, along with the fried cashew nuts and raisins. Stir everything together. When the mixture begins to pull away from the sides of the kadai, remove it from the heat and transfer it to a greased bowl.
  • By following these steps, you can create a delicious and aromatic dish.
