Ingredients
Green banana – 1
Coconut gratings – 1 tablespoon
Red chillies – 2
Raw Rice – 2 teaspoons
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Curry Leaves – few
Salt – ½ teaspoon or as per taste
Directions
- Peel the banana and chop it into small pieces.
- Place the banana pieces in a pot and add some salt and water, enough to cover them.
- Boil until the banana is soft, then drain the excess water and set aside.
- In a skillet, dry roast the red chillies and raw rice (without any oil) until the rice turns light brown. Let them cool down and grind them into a powder.
- In the same skillet, heat some oil and add mustard seeds. When they start to crackle, add curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
- Add the cooked banana, a pinch of salt and the rice chilli powder. Stir well to combine.
- Sprinkle some coconut gratings on top, mix well and serve hot or cold.
