Capsicum (Medium size) – 2 (preferably red colour)
Red chillies – 4
Bengal Gram dhal – 1 tablespoon
Urad dhal – 1 tablespoon
Garlic pearls – 4 nos (small size)
Tamarind – a gooseberry size (Or one tablespoon tamarind juice)
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Curry leaves – few
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Directions
Cut the capsicum into medium size pieces. In a kadai put the oil and fry the dhals till it become light brown. Add red chillies and garlic pearls to the dhal and fry for a while. Then add the capsicum pieces and fry for few minutes. Add tamarind or tamarind juice to it. Fry for few more seconds. Remove and cool it. Add salt to it and grind to a coarse paste. Season it with mustard and curry leaves.
