Rosapoo Chutney

Rosapoo Chutney is the specialty of the Thanjavur region. There is no “Rosapoo” (rose flower) in this chutney, but it got the name due to its color. It is an easy and quick chutney that goes well with Idli or Dosa.

How to make

This chutney is a flavorful condiment made by blending fresh tomatoes, onions, red chillies, and salt into a smooth paste. To prepare it, start by chopping the tomatoes into medium-sized pieces. Then, combine the tomato pieces with onion, dried red chillies, and salt in a mixer jar. Grind the mixture until it reaches a fine consistency. This chutney pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes, adding a spicy and tangy kick.
