South Indian style Cauliflower gravy for rice is a delicious and flavorful dish. Tender cauliflower florets are marinated in spiced yogurt. They are cooked in a creamy, aromatic gravy. The base of the dish is made with sautéed onions, tomatoes, and a fragrant blend of Indian spices. A smooth cashew and poppy seed paste adds a luscious texture, enhancing the depth of flavors. The final touch of fresh coriander brings a refreshing contrast. This comforting and mildly spiced cauliflower curry is perfectly paired with rice or Indian bread. It makes for a delicious meal.

Hi Kamalama,
I prepared this y’day,..I faced one problem..the cauliflower was not cooked properly in around 10 mins so i let it cook for some more time..and it became quite sour..what should i do to avoid this..can i cook the cauliflower first and then marinate it.?
The reason for not cooking the cauliflower, may be the marination is too dry. You can add little water and cook. But do not marinate after cooking. Sourness may be due to curd is too sour or excess in quantity.
This recipe was super easy, delicious and super quick to make! Thank you so much <3
Thank you Sruthi.
