Ingredients
Cauliflower – 1
Ginger galic paste – 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Besan flour – 2 tablespoons
Rice flour – 1 tablespoon
Corn flour – 1 tablespoon
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Oil for deep frying
Directions
- Separate the cauliflower into individual florets. Boil water in a pot and add a pinch of salt. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook; the florets should remain crisp. Drain the water and set aside.
- Place the parboiled cauliflower florets in a large mixing bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, besan (chickpea flour), rice flour, and corn flour. Mix thoroughly until each floret is well-coated with the spice and flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a kadai over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the cauliflower florets in small batches until they turn golden brown. Ensure they don’t overlap in the kadai for even cooking.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, you can optionally add a dash of tomato sauce, soy sauce, and chili sauce to the cauliflower and flour mixture. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes before frying.
