Ingredients

  • Green banana – 1

  • Coconut gratings – 1 tablespoon

  • Red chillies – 2

  • Raw Rice – 2 teaspoons

  • Oil – 2 teaspoons

  • Mustard – ½ teaspoon

  • Curry Leaves – few

  • Salt – ½ teaspoon or as per taste

Directions

  • Peel the banana and chop it into small pieces.
  • Place the banana pieces in a pot and add some salt and water, enough to cover them.
  • Boil until the banana is soft, then drain the excess water and set aside.
  • In a skillet, dry roast the red chillies and raw rice (without any oil) until the rice turns light brown. Let them cool down and grind them into a powder.
  • In the same skillet, heat some oil and add mustard seeds. When they start to crackle, add curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
