Ingredients
Basmati Rice – 2 cups
Green Peas – 1 cup
Jeera – 2 teaspoons
Bay leaves – few
Ghee – 4 tablespoons
Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Directions
- Soak rice in water for about 15 minutes.
- In a pressure cooker, heat some ghee and add cumin seeds and bay leaves. Fry them for a few seconds before adding green peas and stirring for a few more seconds.
- Then add the soaked rice and 4 cups of water, along with some salt. Mix the ingredients together and close the lid, pressure cooking for two to three whistles.
- This is a non-spicy rice dish that is ideal for kids.
