Banana Halwa


  • 1 cup rawa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 riped banana
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • 10 raisins
  • Few drops of yellow colour

Fry rawa in a tablespoon of ghee for five minutes. Fry cashew nuts and raisins in a teaspoon of ghee. Mash the riped banana and keep aside. In a heavy bottomed vessel, put two cups of water and bring to boil. When it start boiling add the rawa slowly stirring continuously. When the rawa is cooked soft, add mashed banana, sugar, yellow colour and mix well. Add ghee, cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, raisins and mix once again. Remove from stove and put it in a greased plate or bowl.
