Fruit Kesari

For this Kesari, you can use any desired/available fruits of your choice. I used Banana, Apple, Papaya, Chikko (Sapota) and Orange.

A sweet recipe made with mixed fruit pieces and rawa.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fruits

  • 1 cup rawa

  • 1 tablespoon cashew nuts

  • 1 tablespoon raisins

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • food color

Directions

  • Peel the skin and remove seeds from the fruits. Cut it into small cubes. For one cup rawa, one to one and half cups of fruit pieces can be used.
  • In a thick pan, add a teaspoon of ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins separately and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add one more teaspoon of ghee and fry the fruit pieces on low flame for two to three minutes and remove it.
  • In the same pan, add one tablespoon ghee and fry the rawa for one or two minutes.
  • In a thick pan pour three cups of water and bring to boil.
  • When it is boiling add the rawa and stir continuously till the rawa cooked soft.
  • Now add sugar and stir continuously. Make sure there is no lump.
  • Add few drops of kesari colour and mix well.
  • Add fried fruit pieces along with little ghee and stir well.
  • Cook on low flame till it is thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
  • Now add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts and raisins. Mix well and remove from stove.

Notes

  • If you want more sweet, then you can increase the quantity of sugar to one and half cups.
