Ingredients
Raw Rice – 2 cups
Coconut gratings – 1 cup
Ghee – 8 tablespoon
Cashew Nuts – 10
Cardamom – 8
Jaggery powdered – 2 cups
Directions
- Soak the rice for two to three hours.
- Drain out the water and grind it along with coconut to a fine paste.
- Add the jaggery in a vessel along with one cup water and bring to boil.
- Remove from stove and strain it.
- Again add this into heat and allow to boil for five minutes.
- Now add the rice and coconut paste and mix well.
- Cook on low flame stirring continuously till it become solid.
- Add ghee little by little and stir well.
- Add powdered cardamom and cashew nuts fried in little ghee.
- Mix well and stir well till it reaches halwa texture.
