- Kollu – 1 cup
- Red Chillies - 4 to 5 Nos
- Black Pepper – 1 teaspoon
- Jeera – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
Dry fry the above ingredients (except salt) separately one by one and cool it.
Add salt and grind to a fine powder.
This can be eaten mixed with hot rice along with a teaspoon of ghee or gingelly oil.













This looks so tasty. I am not sure I have seen 'horse gram' in it's regular form…

Horse gram is available in all stores. However, people think this is meant only for feeding horses and some people do not like the taste. However, due to its medicinal value, we can have it in our diet.

I tried out Kollu podi today at home, it came out very well and is super tasty. Will serve very handy to mix with rice and have. I am thinking of adding one spoon of this when I make rasam at home, what say?
