This upma is made with wheat rawa (Broken wheat also called as Dalia) and vegetables. An ideal breakfast and can be served with coconut chutney.
Wheat Rawa Vegetable Upma is a savory South Indian dish made from semolina and a variety of vegetables. To prepare it, start by boiling water. In a kadai, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they start to pop, add dals, cashew nuts, broken red chilies, and asafoetida. Fry these until the dal turns light brown. Next, add chopped onions, ginger, and curry leaves, sautéing until the onions become transparent. Stir in chopped vegetables. Cook them for a few minutes. Then add the wheat rawa. Mix it well and fry for a little longer. Finally, pour in the boiling water along with salt. Mix thoroughly. Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame. Continue until all the water is absorbed, resulting in a flavorful and nutritious upma.
