A simple and quick method for making idiyappam flour

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw rice

  • water (enough to soak the rice)

Directions

  • Soak the raw rice four hours.
  • Drain the water completely.
  • Add the soaked rice in a mixie and grind to a fine powder in batches.
  • Put this powder in a large kadai and fry on medium flame till the moisture evaporates.
  • When you touch the flour, it should not stick to your hand.
  • Cool it and sieve it.
  • You can store this flour and use it for preparing idiyappam.
