Ingredients
Cabbage – 1 medium size piece
Bengal gram dhal – 1 tablespoon
Coconut gratings – 2 tablespoons
Jeera – 1 teaspoon
Red Chillies – 3 Nos
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Onion – chopped one tablespoon
Curry leaves – few
Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Directions
- Chop the cabbage finely and put it in a vessel with a bit of water and salt. Cook until the cabbage is soft.
- Meanwhile, soak the bengal gram dhal in water for about half an hour and cook it until it is soft.
- Grind the coconut, jeera and red chillies together into a fine paste and add it to the cooked cabbage and cooked bengal gram dhal.
- Mix everything together and cook for an additional three to five minutes in a medium flame. Finally, season the dish with mustard, chopped onion, and curry leaves.
