Indulge in guilt-free crispy air-fried okra, a healthy twist on a classic favorite. Coated in aromatic spices, it’s a delicious snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • Vendaikai – 10 or 15

  • Besan flour – 2 tablespoons

  • Rice flour – 1 teaspoon

  • Chilli powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder – a pinch

  • Jeera Powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Salt – ½ teaspoon

  • Oil – 1 or 2 teaspoons

Directions

  • Slice the okra into two halves. Then, cut each half lengthwise into four strips. Prepare all the okra in this manner. Place the sliced okra into a wide bowl.
  • Evenly sprinkle besan, rice flour, chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, and salt over the okra. Mix gently. If necessary, add a sprinkle of water to ensure the spices coat the okra well.
  • Lightly coat the Air Fryer basket with oil and arrange the okra slices in it. Air fry at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the basket, flip the okra slices, and air fry for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until crispy.
  • Your crispy okra fry is now ready to enjoy.
