minutesThis poriyal is made with cabbage, green peas and coconut gratings. Served as a side dish for rice.
Ingredients
1 small cabbage (approx 250 gms)
1/2 cup green peas
1 tablespoon coconut gratings
1 big onion
3 green chillies
1 spring curry leaves
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard
½ teaspoon Salt or as per taste
Directions
- Cut the cabbage into fine bits.
 - Chop the onion, curry leaves and green chillies.
 - In a kadai put the oil and when it is hot add one teaspoon mustard.
 - When it pops up, add Onions, green chillies and curry leaves and fry for two minutes.
 - Add cabbage, green peas and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook on low flame. No need to add water. Stir now and then till it is cooked.
 - Now add salt and mix well for few seconds.
 - Then add coconut gratings and mix well.
