Experience the vibrant and flavorful capsicum curry, a popular dish in Indian cuisine packed with nutrients and versatile for all taste preferences.

Ingredients

  • Capsicum (Big size) – 1

  • Big onion – 1/2

  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Jeera powder – 1/4 teaspoon

  • Pepper Powder – 1/4 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder – a pinch

  • Oil – 2 to 3 teaspoons

  • Mustard – 1/4 teaspoon

  • Jeera – 1/4 teaspoon

  • Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon

  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon or as per taste

Directions

  • Wash and dice the capsicum into small pieces. Finely chop the onion.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, and when hot, add mustard seeds. Once they pop, add urad dal and cumin, frying until the dal turns light brown. Add the chopped onion and sauté until transparent. Then add the capsicum and sauté briefly.
  • Follow with red chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper, cumin powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well. Stir occasionally and cook over medium heat until the capsicum is tender.
  • Serve with Chapati.
