It is served with Chutney and Sambar Pin Print Onion Curry Recipe by S Kamala Course: PoriyalCuisine: IndianDifficulty: EasyServings4servingsPrep time5minutesCooking time10minutesThis quick onion curry is made with onion and tomato and can be taken with chapati, idli or soft dosa.Ingredients Big onion – 1 No Tomato – 1 No Sambar Powder – 2 teaspoons Turmeric Powder – ¼ teaspoon Oil – 1 tablespoon Mustard – ½ teaspoon Jeera – 1 teaspoon Asafoetida Powder – a pinch Curry Leaves – few Salt – ½ teaspoon or as per tasteDirectionsChop the onion and tomato finely.In a pan add the oil and when it is hot add mustard. When it pops up add jeera, asafoetida powder and curry leaves. Fry for a second.Add onion and fry till it is transparent.Then add tomato and fry till it is mashed well.Add sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry till all blends well.
