Garlic Raita

Garlic Raita is a flavorful yogurt-based side dish. To prepare it, finely chop garlic flakes and fry them in a teaspoon of oil until golden brown. In a separate bowl, beat some curd and add salt along with the fried garlic, mixing everything thoroughly. Finally, sprinkle red chili powder on top and stir well to combine. This zesty raita pairs perfectly with spicy dishes, adding a cooling and aromatic touch.

Ingredients

  • Garlic flakes – 10

  • Red Chili Powder – 2 to 3 pinches

  • Oil – 1 teaspoon

  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon or as per taste

  • Curd (yoghurt) – 1 cup

Directions

  • Chop garlic flakes finely.
  • Fry it in a teaspoon of oil till it become golden brown.
  • Beat the curd.  Add salt and the fried garlic.  Mix it well.
  • Sprinkle red chilli powder and stir well.
