1.Can we do this Kaara Sev in normal Murrukku mould? or we need compulsorily kara sev plate?
2. In the ingredients list you have mentioned as Baking soda and whereas in the text mentioned as Baking Powder.
Do not mistake me. I want to know which i have to use . ANything works fine??
hi
I made this today and it came out very well.I added some wheat flour to one half and ragi flour to other half of the total mixture bcoz i ran out of besan. I was worried about crispiness, but it came out very crispy.and healthy as well.
Picture of “kaara Sev” is my picture. I do not know how they are publishing it without my knowledge. I think other pictures are also taken from other websites. I have also seen my pictures in some of the websites too. I do not know how to prevent it.
You have to make “Sev” with the ingredients mentioned for Kara sev, but without chilli powder or pepper or any spice. You have to use slightly bigger hole “Karandi” for this. Then you have to make thick sugar syrup and add the sev and mix well.

Hi Chidambari,
Thank you for visiting my site.
You can make it with normal Murukku mould. Only the shape is slightly different than the Kaarasev. (Kaara sev have thin ends).
Re Baking powder, it is typographic error. I have corrected it. It is cooking soda. Without cooking soda also we can prepare.

Hi Keerthana,
Thank you for your feedback. It is really a great idea to prepare with wheat and ragi flour.
