Can I use boiled potato instead of raw potatoes?
If you use boiled potato, then it will be like “Potato Pattis”. If you use raw potato only you will be able to spread it like dosa and taste also like french fries.
I tried it…but it just stuck to the pan and i couldnt flip it at all…what could have gone wrong? Please can you help me?
May be you hadd added more water. You have to add little water and the batter should be thick like idli batter. Before pouring the batter on the tawa, you have to grease it. After pouring the batter you have sprinkle oil around the dosa. Keep the stove also on medium flame and allow to cook sufficiently. Then you will be able to flip it without any problem.
Your website is awesome

Thank you Rohith for your kind feedback.
Mam, do I need to boil and then grate potatoes or directly use raw ones.
No need to boil. You can grate the raw potato and use it.
Could you please tell me if we need to put salt while making the batter? Also please tell me if we can use chilly powder, if yes, please give the quantity
Yes. You have to add salt to the batter. You can add chilly powder too if you want spicy dosa. Two to three pinches will suffice.
Quick and simple, yet tasty.
hi ka can we use wheat flour instead of maida?please do reply…..
Yes. You can use. However it will give wheat flour taste rather than potato flavour.
