Pineapple Cold Soup: A Tropical Delight

This soup is a refreshing and flavorful drink perfect for warm days. To prepare, chop a fresh pineapple into medium-sized chunks, reserving a few pieces for garnish. Blend the pineapple chunks with ginger, mint, coriander leaves, jaggery, and a little water until smooth, then strain the mixture. Season the strained puree with salt, pepper, and dry-roasted cumin powder, stirring well to incorporate the spices. Chill the soup in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Before serving, garnish with thin slices of the reserved pineapple for an appealing presentation.

If preferred, a tablespoon of honey can be used in place of jaggery.

Indulge in the tropical flavors of Pineapple Cold Soup, a refreshing dish with a zesty twist. Perfect for summer with natural sweetness and a touch of warmth.

Ingredients

  • Pineapple – ½

  • Fresh Ginger – a small piece

  • Mint Leaves – few

  • Coriander Leaves – few

  • Jaggery – 1 tablespoon

  • Salt – a pinch

  • Pepper powder – ½ teaspoon

  • Fried Cumin Powder – ½ teaspoon

Directions

  • Chop the pineapple into medium-sized chunks, setting aside two or three pieces for garnish.
  • Combine the pineapple chunks in a blender with ginger, mint, coriander leaves and jaggery. Add a little water to create a smooth puree. Strain the mixture afterward.
  • Season the strained puree with salt, pepper, and roasted cumin powder (make sure the cumin is dry roasted before grinding). Stir thoroughly.
  • Use the thin slices of the reserved pineapple pieces for garnish. Chill in the refrigerator for half an hour before serving.
