Ingredients Cabbage chopped finely – 1 medium bowl green peas – 1/2 cup Tamarind juice – 2 to 3 tablespoon Green Gram Dhal – 1/4 cup Turmeric powder – a pinchTo grind: Coconut gratings – 2 tablespoon Coriander Seeds – 1 tablespoon Red Chillies – 2 Nos Pepper – 1 teaspoonFor seasoning: Onion – 1 No Green Chillies – 2 Curry Leaves – few Oil – 1 tablespoon Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste Directions Cook green gram dhal along with turmeric powder in a pot over medium flame until it’s soft. Chop onion finely, and slit green chillies lengthwise. In a teaspoon of oil, fry red chillies, coriander seeds, pepper and coconut gratings until fragrant, then grind to a fine paste.In a separate pan, heat oil over a medium flame and add mustard seeds. When they start to pop, add chopped onion, slit green chillies and curry leaves and fry until the onion turns translucent. Add green peas and fry for a few minutes, then add cabbage pieces and mix well. Add the ground paste, salt, and a splash of water, stirring to combine. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low heat until the cabbage is cooked through. Add tamarind juice and cooked dhal, stirring to combine. Allow everything to simmer for a few more minutes before removing from the heat.
