Oats Corn Adai is a delicious and nutritious dish made from a combination of oats and cornmeal. To prepare, start by roasting oats in a dry pan until hot, then cool and coarsely grind them. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground oats with cornmeal, red chili powder, asafoetida, turmeric, chopped onions, curry leaves, and salt, mixing well. Gradually add water to form a dough, then divide it into approximately six orange-sized balls. On a greased dosa pan, flatten each ball using a plastic sheet, and cook on both sides with a little oil until golden brown. This savory adai is perfect for a wholesome meal or snack!

I am going to try another version, which I will post soon.
Hai Kamala,
Nice recipe. Today i tried this …yeah it came out well…..but in this recipe there is no binding agent, so when i pat the balls its not coming out in shape & also if its hot then its good to eat.
But anyhow nice healthy recipe. And i tried oats pongal & oats upma…..both r very good recipe, both came out very well.
Thanks a lot for ur new try.
keep posting more.
Kalyani
Hi Kalyani,
Thank you for your feedback. oats flour bind nicely. When you mix the oats flour with water, you will feel the stickiness and will bind with others. Try to sprinkle little more water to make the douch. Even when you stretch the flour to make the adai, it will stretch nicely.
Can we use makki ka atta? I think that’s also corn flour? I live in Delhi……..
hi, I have tried oats morkali, upma and oats pongal. All are big hit in my house. i was wondering, in this recipe of oats corn adai, is it necessary to add corn flour rather can we add broken wheat and make adai? can u post more interesting recipes in oats pls. Thanks & g8 job!!
Hi Shri,
Thank you for your feed back on my recipes. Yes, you can add broken wheat in this recipe. I have added in this recipe broken corn only NOT corn flour. Check here for broken wheat adai recipe also:
