Keerai (Greens) Pakoda

Ingredients

  • Chopped greens (Keerai) – 1 cup

  • Besan flour – 2 cups

  • Rice flour – ½ cup

  • Peanut – ½ cup

  • Ginger – a small piece

  • Garlic flakes – 4 Nos

  • Green chillies – 4 Nos

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste

  • Oil – for deep frying

Directions

  • Mix besan, rice flour, chopped ginger and garlic, green chillies, peanut, chopped greens and salt. Add little water and make a dough.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and take out a lump of the dough and drop it in small portions. Fry till it become golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove it and put it on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil on it.

Notes

  • Instead of green chillies, you can add a teaspoon of red chilli powder. Also instead of rice flour, you can add rawa.
