Recipe for Erissery. Erissery is a Kerala Recipe. It can be prepared with one or more vegetables like Pumpkin, Jackfruit, Green Banana, Yam and Cow Gram.
Fry the ingredients separately in a teaspoon of oil. When it is lukewarm, grind it to a fine powder. Store it in an airtight container. You can use this powder when you make capsicum rice, tomato rice or any vegetable rice.
Put the oil in a kadai and fry the dhals, red chillies, asafetida. Add the ginger chopped in the same kadai. Fry for a while. Cool it and grind it along with tamarind, jaggery and salt to a coarse paste.
